Working with the Glow layer style

Did you apply some style layer or Outer Glow/Inner Glow and have not seen anything shiny on the screen even when you increase the size to 20 or 30 pixels? This is because the default setting of the Blend Mode for the Glow layer style is screen.

In many cases, depending on the content of the layers below the glow layer, you can not see any results. So how do you overcome this problem? Just change the Blend Mode (in dialogue Glow Layer Style) from screen to normal. Now when you’ve raised the price of the Size and Spread you’ll see a visible difference instantly.
