Formatting symbols in Photoshop

To adjust the distance between the character of the baseline (as must be done on commercial symbols), highlight the character you want to format and press Shift-Option-up arrow (PC: Shift-Alt-up arrow) to move the character above the baseline. Use the same shortcut, but the down arrow key to move the text below the baseline (for cases such as H2O, etc).
